Jack Frost - Gibson Les Paul Classic "Custom"

This was one of Jack's favorite guitars for a long time.  After becoming friends with Jack, he realized that I was a true fan of the band that he had started playing with.  I was lucky that Jack wanted me to have this guitar.  (It was pricey, but more importantly it was the thought that it should be in my hands if it wasn't in his).  She is a Les Paul Classic.  The back of the neck was sanded down and oiled for a raw feel.  The machines we replaced with Schallers and also with pearloid imperial buttons.  Jack has used these white Duncan's and a set of cream EMG's on different occasions.  I might put the EMG's back in?

The thought behind the graphic was the movie "Nightmare Before Christmas".  It has the characters on the front.  I am sure we can see what the theme was since his name is Jack Frost.  It is one excellent paint job.  Jack had all of the extra knobs filled and now she is just one volume.  That set up just screams "metal through a wide open Marshall".

For me the most important thing about this guitar is that I have a boot leg from the early part of 2001.  And during "Power of the Night" and "Hall of the Mountain King", Jack is playing this Les Paul, and right next to him is Chris playing the Jackson Warrior that I also own.  (getting Johnny's bass will be impossible!!)  Also there is a video that was put out as a documentary of a Metalium tour and history of the band that was shot in Europe.  There are parts where Jack is playing this Les Paul on stage.
