Roberts passion for music began at the age of eleven, where he played saxophone in the school band.  It was there that he learned to read and write music.  He maintained first chair status until graduation.  At twelve Rob pursued playing guitar and a couple of years later he had assembled a trio and was performing on a regular basis.  He credits his private guitar instructor with developing improvisational skills and jazz techniques that he embraces today.  Rob is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in the Audio Arts and Acoustics Division of Columbia College in Chicago.  Rob enjoys sharing his knowledge and love of music with his students.  He has a strong emphasis on song writing, recording and technique.
